Lessons I’ve Learned from Sewing Teddy Bears
Normally all of creativity is dedicated to running my jewelry business, Trinity London. However, in recent months, I’ve decided to try my hand at sewing, specifically making teddy bears. Since I only attempted any type of sewing within the past few months, I have learned many things in the process that I thought I would share.
- Lesson 1a:
- If you think your cat or dog sheds too much, making a stuffed animal is not for you.
- Lesson 1b:
- People coming into your house while you are making a teddy bear may think you have sacrificed your pets as part of a cult ritual when they see the amount of fur on the floor.
- Lesson 1c:
- If your significant other is not attracted to hairy chests, it’s probably best to wear something over your clothes.
- Lesson 1d:
- Even if you bought the fur there in the first place, the people at the craft store will look at you strangely if you don’t use a lint roller (or a vacuum… or just burn the clothes and change into something new entirely) before you make a quick stop at the store to pick up that one piece you are missing.
- Lesson 1e:
- Expect to find stray pieces of fur in odd places (i.e. - on the light switch, the curtains, the shower, etc.) as it clings to everything.
- Lesson 2a:
- Slightly furry reversible fleece fabric makes it much easier to see where you are sewing.
- Lesson 2b:
- Slightly furry reversible fleece fabric is so thick that it will make your sewing machine buck like a bronco in a rodeo.
- Lesson 2c:
- It is easier to pierce your thumb with the eye of the needle when attempting hand sewing than it is to pierce two layers of slightly furry reversible fleece fabric with the sharp point of the needle.
- Lesson 2d:
- When your mother suggests using slightly furry reversible fleece fabric to make a teddy bear because it reminds her of the fabric used on bears when she was younger, pretend not to hear her while swiftly walking away from the slightly furry reversible fleece fabric.
- Lesson 3a:
- If you didn’t need to pin the section of fabric you are sewing, but it is still staying together, it is most likely on a fold and you shouldn’t be sewing there.
- Lesson 3b:
- The person who designed the pattern put those marks on the pattern for a reason.
- Lesson 3c:
- It takes a lot longer to remove stitches than to sew them in the first place.
- Lesson 4a:
- When making a jointed teddy bear, if you use plastic safety joints, be sure they are placed exactly where you want them before attaching the lock washer.
- Lesson 4b:
- Asking your husband to remove a safety joint after the lock washer has been attached may result in an unexpected flathead screwdriver injury.
- Lesson 4c:
- It is best not to laugh hysterically at your husband’s unexpected flathead screwdriver injury, as he will probably not find it as humorous as you.
- Lesson 5:
- If your cat is a bit skittish, she may impale your loved ones with her claws when she sees you walking into the room with a 2′ tall stuffed grizzly bear.
- Lesson 6:
- If you have a child, take a picture of your completed project before you show him/her because you may never see it again.
I hope you have learned a little from my lessons… not that I would have made any of those mistakes myself.
When she is not making disastrous attempts at sewing, Michelle Yau is the owner of Trinity London, a jewelry business specializing in awareness ribbon bracelets, rosary bracelets, and other handcrafted beaded jewelry.
Graduation Diplomas For All
kindergarten graduation caps
Made from materials like polyester, kindergarten graduation caps can only be rivaled by graduation gown as the most distinctive piece of the graduation regalia. The caps are normally worn by students and sometimes members of the faculty during graduation ceremonies and come in different charming colors. Such colors are like blue, gold, yellow, purple, red and so on. On the kindergarten graduation caps one is also likely to find tassels which are the caps most outstanding feature. The tassels can either be made using a single color or can be multicolored and are mainly use for decorative purposes on the graduation caps. On the tassels of the
kindergarten graduation caps,
one might also see the date and year of the graduation ceremony of the students and students get to keep such caps. Graduation caps are usually expandable and this means students with different head sizes can be able to put them on comfortably. Traditionally, institutions provide their students with caps to wear on the big day. However, other institutions have moved away from this tradition and require their students to bring their own caps. In this instance, the parents of the children can either choose to buy the caps from both offline and online stores or make it themselves. Regardless of the choice on makes, they should ensure the colors used on the caps are approved by the school.

Basics of Cancer of the Mesothelium
Cancer of the mesothelium is a rare cancer of the tissues that line people’s inner organs. Nearly 2,000 brand new cases are recognized every year in the whole United States. Out of this group, almostthree out of four of occurrences affect the sac that protects the lungs, named the pleura. This type of cancer is called pleural mesothelioma. In around 10 to twenty percent of occurrences, mesothelioma cancer could affect the tissue that envelopes abdominal organs, named the peritoneal membrane, creating what is then referred to as peritoneal mesothelioma.
Introduction to asbestos is absolutely the main influencing factor for this rare aliment. Following asbestos exposure, the time to development of the mesothelioma disease might be twenty to forty years. As a result of work introduction, cancer of the mesothelium is about three times more common in males, than in females. Because the mass of occurrences rises with your age, there are around ten times more occurrences in the males over age 64 than in the men in their midlife.
Having Cancer of the mesothelium is a grave cancer, which, currently, has a very low rate of lasting endurance. Although, if it is diagnosed early on, care are then in existence that might significantly stretch the patient’s life. Advanced approaches continue to be and are being tested by the way of clinical trials.
Making the Correct Decisions on Carpets
Carpet differences all originate from the multitude of different techniques and materials that are employed in the manufacturing process like all the various constructions and fibres. For instance a half moon rugs would have distinctly different properties to a polyester carpet. The length of time a carpet will remain looking respectable without any noticeable wear and tear depends on a whole host of things. Looking at the material the carpet is constructed from the weight of the fibres used as well as the density of the pile are all factors to be considered when making a decision on a suitable location for a particular style of carpet.
When the time comes for you to select a carpet for your living space its imperative that you select a carpet which is a practical match for where it will be. The carpet manufacturing process has improved hugely since the early days in unison with technological advances - this has led to improvements in fibre technology which has meant that that you will will actually find it quite a challenge to find any very low quality carpets these days. Even bottom of the rung basement bargain carpets are still infinitely better to carpets which were manufactured a few decades ago. In those days most people’s carpets quickly became noticeably worn after a short period of time. There still are some differences between carpets people need to be aware of though, even though they are less pronounced.
More often than not carpets these days are manufactured from materials which were not around fifty years ago like a new type of polyester which is much more durable than previous versions. The new type is called PET fibre and has fantastic properties which make it appear much more natural and give it the remarkable ability to resist stains much more effectively than other carpets. For this reason it is a great choice for use in schools or indeed any space where the carpet is likely to be exposed to a lot of wear and tear.
Looking at other elements of choosing a carpet aside from its physical properties there are other important things which need to be thought about such as the colour of the carpet as well as the price. This in combination with how durable the carpet is cover the main aspects of what you need to consider when you take the plunge into purchasing a new carpet for your home. Before improvements in technology allowed for higher grade fibre to be packed more densely together, carpets used to wear thin as it was more often than not very thin and lightweight.

How To Date Ann Coulter (If You Must)
I’ve decided to go public with my intentions: I will not be asking Ann Coulter for a date. There are some good reasons.
First, I’m married. Second, there is a substantial age differential. And, third, I fear rejection.
While reading Coulter’s book, How to Talk to Liberals (If You Must), I thought about the prospects.
A single, middle-aged guy who’s still trying to look like he’s in his 20s would make a perfect match. But before you pick up the phone to pop the question, there are some things you need to know.
Keep in mind, for example, that Ann Coulter is relatively good looking. “Relative to what?” you ask. “A ‘58 Buick? Tapioca? Phyllis Schlafly?”
Yes.
You’ll also want to know that Coulter was born and raised in the Bubba Belt. That’s important. Not because she’s Ann Coulter, but because it’s a date. Any guy who’s opened the door for feminist, been called a chauvinist and then jabbed with an upper right (knee) knows all about this. Coulter is no feminist. You will open the door for her. And if you don’t, you may get jabbed with an upper right.
And that brings me to another announcement. Thursday, April 1, all the women of the world are to meet in my living room. If you are a feminist, you will be tattooed with an X on your forehead. If you are not a feminist, you will be marked with an O. That will end door-opening offenses for women and considerable pain for men.
Back to our date with Coulter.
You will pick her up at her stylish Washington, D.C. apartment, say, 5ish. When you first see the flow of long blond hair covering the left-side of her face [see photo here], you may want to raise your eyebrows twice. That’s body language. It means “hubba-hubba” in Bubbaland. However, the significance of the left-face covering should not be noticed. Just gaze into her gorgeous right eyeball.
The preferred date for the evening will be the NBA game. The Indiana Pacers will be playing the Detroit Bullets-oops-Pistons. Granted, it’s an unlikely event in Washington, but this is an imaginary date. Don’t get excited.
Small talk in route to the event will be in order. You will notice Coulter loves words that no one can use or understand, except for her and William F. Buckley, Jr. The most common is “felonious.” According the dictionary.com, the word is defined as “adj., relating to anyone Ann Coulter finds disagreeable.”
It also works well in titles. There was Alexander the Great, Richard the Lionhearted and, according the Coulter, Bill Clinton the Felonious Liar.
Sitting somewhere in the arena will be interesting. Coulter will glare with her right eye at the massive structure and lament that its lugubrious bathos was built with lachrymose tax dollars by schadenfreude liberals; all words found on pages 128 and 129 of her book.
Not to worry. Excuse yourself during the first fight and go to the gift shop in the lobby. You’ll want to buy a voice-activated electronic dictionary with a LCD screen. There is no gift shop, but there is the hair-coming-out-his-nose hotdog stand guy and just your luck he’s still got a few electronic dictionaries for $14.95; $16.95 with mustard.
Back in the stands, you can now understand Coulter. Contretemps, you learn, means, affliction; epiphanic means something akin to religious, and @#%&* (page 309) means Hillary’s serious about running for president.
Wise guy that you are, you’ll want to have a bit of humor ready when the Pacers and Pistons square off in row 12. While Artest is punching an epiphanic (page 105) fan in the nose, you will turn and look Coulter in the eye and quip, “Geez, I didn’t know these guys could play hockey!!”
If she sniggles (not in her book), you’ve made a hit. If she rambles on about why white hockey players don’t get fined for fighting because they’re, uh, white, then you’ve got a ways to go.
With the game over, it’s time to escort Coulter to a fine dining establishment. At your date’s behest, you mark Ben and Jerry’s off the list. Chinese sounds good and if you can’t understand your waiter, does it matter? You can’t understand your date, either.
The conversation turns to politics. (Who woulda known.) Coulter’s right eye gleams as she rants about feminist cornpones (page 235), gun owners’ rights and the need to squarsh the IRS like a bug. So far so good. You decide you may have met your match.
But then you bring up civil liberties and Coulter tussles her hair and - gasp! - she has a left eye after all. Her right eye now covered, she goes apoplectic over the smarminess of the war on drugs (pages 246 and 44.) “It’s not about drugs,” you explain. “It’s about personal rights.”
Her left eye glares.
“You know,” you add, “like the Patriot Act.”
Her left eye bugs out.
Enough is enough, you decide. Noting the O tattooed on her forehead, you get to pick up the tab. And the tip.
The evening ends when you walk Coulter to the door of her crib and give her a friendly kiss her on her tattoo. “No wonder,” you surmise, “the Libertarians in Connecticut didn’t want her on their ticket.”
Your conclusion is ineluctable (page 30.)

AMERICA , LAND OF THE FREE , HOME OF THE BRAVE!
“But for how long ? !” We send our brave men and women off to fight in a foreign land , while we allow certain anti Christian government officials to little by little chip away and remove the vary “GOD given” freedoms that we sent them off to defend!
We allowed the BIBLE to be removed from our public schools while we allowed the” theory” of evolution to be forcibly taught to our Children we look at incidents like Columbine and we hear a woman who’s lost a child in a school shooting say GOD how could you let this happen ? YOUR ANSWER : YOU SAID GOD WASN’T ALLOWED IN SCHOOLS ! It’s now more easily done to sneak guns and explosives into a public school , than it is to read a Bible there , and the A.C.L.U. won’t file a law suit for bringing a gun or bomb to school , but they sure will if you bring a Bible.
The American justice system , in the court room you are asked to swear to tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth , “SO HELP ME GOD !”on the BIBLE , while The Ten Commandments have just been ordered out of the public court .”The same principles that you were just asked to swear to tell the truth by !” With the removal of THE TEN COMMANDMENTS on which the American justice was based , and our great country was founded ,YOU have just allowed the hope of all justice to be removed from the American court room !
When I was in school , we were taught to be loyal to our country .We stood shoulder to shoulder as young Americans, and recited the Pledge of Allegiance , the way it was originally designed , ONE NATION UNDER GOD , for those of you who don’t remember . ” GOD & A FREE COUNTRY” That’s what our brave men & women of the armed services are fighting and dieing for !
There are only two ways to be , right or wrong . So if we are in the right ot send our men & women to fight for our “GOD GIVEN FREEDOM”, isn’t it there fore wrong to allow them to remove the name of GOD from public view ?
The agenda of the A.C.L.U Is to make the USA reflect a non - believers view of the nations founding and future existence. They have filed suit to have our national motto” In GOD we trust” removed from our currency , One Nation Under God removed from the Pledge of Allegiance , The white cross war memorials removed and the grave markers In all government cemetery’s such as Arlington will surely be in their line of fire as well .
The Ten Commandments Moses was given by God has been forcibly removed form all most all of the government buildings and our government must reflect a non religious atheistic view in all public places . Why are they so ashamed of their GOD given freedoms ? That was the heritage the fore fathers wanted to pass on to all future generations !
Down through out all history we read of the sacrifices that our ancestors made as they fought and died to keep all of us free . George Washington ordered his troops to daily , begin the day by gathering all officers and troops together and praying . Praying for Almighty God to make them victorious in battle, and for the safety of the men.
The First Continental Congress filed a motion in 1774 to pause for prayer to ask for support and guidance following a report of the British invasion of Boston . The prayer was formed from Psalms 35 in the Bible .
A national day of fasting was initiated by congress to ask Gods forgiveness for sins of the American soldiers committed in the war . Church services were held in the U.S. Capitol building which Jefferson attended and the U.S. Marine band supplied the music at tax payers expense . Church services were also held in the Supreme Court building for many years .
Separation of church and state means , The government was never to force any single religion to be recognized as a nationally chosen or federally controlled , as it was in England . Instead , it was to recognise the practice of many different religions and not prohibit the exercise of it . In short , the government was to stay out of the church’s business , but not for church to stay out of government .
Freedom of religion is an amendment in the Constitution of The United States which stated that Congress was to not make a law for or against the practice of any certain religion,or to restrict the practice of it .
If we let the A.C.L.U. Full fill their objective of the total removal of God from our nations motto , our songs , our currency , our Pledge , our cemetery , our national monuments , Then we have lost some of our Freedom of speech as well as our Christian rights . That may as well be minority rule and not what the majority of Americans want.
With out the influence of Judaism and Christianity , this nation will morally decay . And if it is silenced for ever publicly , our children will have no idea of their heritage , where it came from or what it means to have God given Freedoms as an in alienable right endowed by their Creator GOD.
There has to be a difference between right and wrong , and where do we think we learned the difference in the first place ? It always returns to what the American Justice system was based upon , The Ten Commandments . And who gave them to us ? GOD ! And so , since we recognize that , then why is it that when something is morally wrong the A.C.L.U. Is the first to file suite to defend that instead of what is right ?
They also want to diminish the legal distinction of the traditional family ( one woman one man) as ordained by God . This undermines morals even further . They have made remark to the legal age of sexual consent to be lowered to 13 or 14 year old children . “YOUR TAX DOLLARS AT WORK !” That’s right, federally funded . We are paying them to do this, whether we like it or not , whether you’re a believer , or non - believer .
People , it’s time to wise up , before it’s too late ! All of us Believer or non -believer , enjoy the freedom this Nation has to offer , and we can all happily live here together . It’s not yet to late to reverse the damage that has been caused . If we continue on the path of removing God from America , Why should He continue to bless it ? And None of us may even want to live here if HE doesn’t bless it . It could turn into another Iraq , where the war is in YOUR back yard !
But then, I’m a man who believes that there is a God who created us, loves us ,and wants us to love our neighbors as our selves . And what could possibly be wrong with that concept ? * * *

Third World Debt - A Solution
Let’s not pretend that third world debt is about wise investment of borrowed money in order to develop a country’s economy more quickly. If it were so, the countries which borrowed the most would be the ones doing well. Without getting into statistics, I’ll just point out that debt is more often hurting these economies than helping them. Debt is there, though, so what can be done about it?
Third World Debt Renunciation
To suggest that countries should renounce their debt may sound too radical at first, but not once you understand the nature of international debt. With the guise of helping to develop a country’s resources, the world bank or various governments loan money to a third world government. Lenders usually don’t want just to make interest, but also to develop something that will benefit them, like oil or lumber resources they need. Also, it is commonly expected that companies from the lending countries will get large contracts for various development projects.
Of course, the corrupt government that receives the loan has it’s own ideas about what to do with the money. Altogether, many corrupt officials, lending institutions, governments and companies make money, while little real benefit trickles down to the people of the borrowing country. The scoundrels are long gone when the next government has to deal with the growing debt.
Then the lending countries, international monetary fund or world bank step in to renegotiate the debt. They’ll even loan more money to alleviate a “crisis.” The new deal comes with rules, of course. The borrowing country may have to tax the people more heavily, or encourage “cash” crops that can be sold to pay the debt, instead of food crops to feed the people.
Third World Debt Relief
Consider this for a moment. A corrupt, often non-democratically elected government borrows money for their own purposes, and it is assumed that the citizens have an obligation to repay the money. Now, if I borrow money in your name, would you feel obligated to pay? Of course not! A new solution: When a new government comes to power in any of these debt-ridden third world countries, they should renounce all foreign debt, and stop making payments at once. Neither they nor the people who actually are taxed to pay it have any obligation to do so. This should be announced as a moral decision to stop forcing people to pay fr debt they did not incur. Taking the moral high ground will reshape the whole debate.
Many will argue that any country which does this won’t be able to borrow again for a long time. Since debt has been more of a problem, and not the solution to their economic woes, this is a great benefit, isn’t it? Let’s make sure no one will lend to future corrupt governments and leave the people burdened with debt! Of course, debt is good when the money is used wisely. While renouncing past debts, the new government can stabilize expenditures and create a market system in which money will be comfortably lent to many individual companies within the country. The resulting economic growth will provide the future tax base for public works. Letting the world lend to value-producing companies instead of to inevitably corrupt governments will go a long way towards solving the problems of third world debt.

Don’t Look At Me, I Voted For The Other Guy
Have you ever noticed, when things are going wrong, that no one ever actually voted for those in power?
It’s amazing. Six months after a unanimous internal election (in which I was the scrutineer) I had at least six people assure me that the candidate’s later defection wasn’t their fault. They’d seen his faults from the start and voted for the other guy. Was the election a fix? Should I demand an enquiry? No. I dealt with every ballot paper myself. The actual result wasn’t announced, just the winner, to avoid embarrassment but every ballot paper is kept for evidence if needed at a later date. The successful candidate won fair and square and, what’s more, the people assuring me they didn’t vote for him knew it.
Selective amnesia is bad enough but what I’ve also noticed is people using voting for the opposition as a perfect excuse to knock democracy. When we don’t like a result we work to change it next time: that’s the joy of fixed terms. This is particularly dangerous in internal elections, such as for the leadership of a political party. By fighting each other and not accepting the majority vote we lose sight of the real opposition out there. And the media love it.
Accept what you’ve got and work to change it next time around. That’s democracy.

Censorship, Our Enemy
“If liberty means anything at all, it means the right to tell people what they do not want to hear.” — George Orwell, Notes on Nationalism
“I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.” — Evelyn Beatrice Hall, The Friends of Voltaire (1906)
“It is always to be taken for granted, that those who oppose an equality of rights never mean the exclusion should take place on themselves.” — Thomas Paine, On First Principles of Government (1795)
“Where they have burned books, they will end in burning human beings.” — Heinrich Heine, Almansor (1821)
“You have not converted a man because you have silenced him.” — John Morley, On Compromise (1874)
If we want to know if someone believes in freedom and liberty, the prophets of creativity and passion, we may simply tell them, “When I told a person my opinion, they resorted to threats and physical violence.” If the person we are telling this to believes in freedom, they will express their absolute horror at such a situation, but if the person does not believe in freedom, then they will ask, “What was the opinion?” As true liberty and freedom does not have borders or restrictions, unless another’s liberty is at risk. If a man becomes the chorus of freedom and sings the songs of happiness, but states it ought to be illegal to express some opinion they believe to be heinous or ghastly or an abomination, then this man is nothing but a hypocrit and a traitor to the advancement of civilization. When a leader says, “You can say anything you want, but you may not say this or this or this,” then it is the beginning of Censorship and the devaluation of opinion. And as they make it illegal for us to open our mouths, they make it illegal for everyone else to open their minds. Shackles attached to the strings of the heart as much as they are bondaged to the sentiments of the mind, and civilization, and its institutions of art and love and community and peace and freedom, as Censorship advances, civilization becomes crippled and debilitated. When we can no longer sing the song which has enchanted our hearts, unless we are rigidly following the notation of a biased authority, then we are no longer living in freedom, but in the foul chambers of Censorship.
There is nothing more obscene when the cry is made that literature is obscene in nature and should be censored. What can honestly be said of a person when they say we are not allowed to think a certain way, or to express our opinions in a way they dislike? What can be said when a Conservative states all Liberal texts should be banned, or when a Christian states all heretical texts should be banned, or when a person states that a radical opinion should be supressed and not heard? If a person wishes to prove that a theory is correct, they should do so openly and using evidence. To silence your opponent and not allow them to argue their case is to disable the advancement of truth and liberty. Those who are desirious of learning the truth and expanding their knowledge of both sides will be disheartened to find that they cannot find a text of anyone who opposes one theory. The government which approves of Censorship does a disservice to society.
The crime stipulated by Censorship is not one of action, but one of knowledge. It is in knowing that we become criminals. And in all of the Totalitarian nations where Censorship is in full force, artists and writers and comedians and musicians and thinkers, or any individual that is part of a creating class, will find themselves to be criminals. Not criminalized because they are the source of some evil, or that they cause misery or distress, but solely because they hold opinions, that they have thoughts, that they are capable of judgments. The members of the criminal class then are not only the poor who have no means of production, but the thinkers, the geniuses, the researchers, the scientists. And as Censorship masquerades as protection, as it continues its love affair with ignorance, all classes of men who find themselves allured to liberty, will detest Censorship against any group, in any form.
There have been thousands who have been persecuted for holding an opinion, let alone expressing the opinion. The church has been notorious for killing heretics all the way into the 20th century, with the death of Francisco Ferrer. The Red Scare and Senator McCarthy spent his political career by destroying others. And there came to be no more smug and cruel an institution as the Unamerican Activities Committee in our modern world. Lives were destroyed and futures were crushed, as the persecutors gained in fame, glory, and wealth. As the bog-god, terrorist machine of government crushed more souls into consumerist fodder for its never-ending goal of control and oppression, the world was thrown into a madenned craze. Even investigation of theories of Communism was tantamount to being recognized as a Communist in the eyes of the government.
What have our lives come to, when there are laws and regulations that say we cannot read certain things, that we cannot think certain things, that we may not question and understand certain things? Can there be any ideology, any belief system, any religion, or philosophy that is so taboo or foreign, that we must not permit anyone to know about it? The idea that is so dangerous that it must be banned from the mind is the idea that does not exist. Censorpship of an idea proves nothing. It only proves that someone must resort to physical force to put down their opponents. When someone cannot disprove their opponent with argumentation and evidence, they will resort to Censorship. And it is true that the censor-morons have been responsible for Censorship in all its forms, whether it is the destruction of the printing presses or killing those who hold an opinion.
The gluttonous beast of tyranny will do all in its power to disable and handicap the progression of civilization. It may try to crush our hearts, destroy our desires, and fill us with the idea that hope is vanity, truth is vice, and lust is sin. But before the cruel servants of brutality do anything — before they construct their prisons, before they enforce compulsary education, before they force us to work in dangerous factories, before they tax us so they can support their luxurious lifestyles, before they massacre us in the streets — before the cyclopse of iniquity raises his fist to take a blow at civilization, the first thing he will do is to put a clamp on our lips and our minds. He will burn our libraries, control all means of communication, and will make it punishable to hold or express a taboo opinion. And once Censorship is in place, all sorts of injustices and unfairness may be committed upon the tender flesh of innocense, upon the crying infant of life.
Can it not easily be predicted that these with enough brazen attitude will be met with healtfelt sorrow when they discover tha their questions are illegal? What kind of country would we be living in if questions and their answers are illegal? There may be those in full support of Censorship who will claim that we should remove obscenities from books, and allow only material to be published that respects sacredness. There can be nothing more sacred than liberty and freedom, the mother of inquiry and justice. Among the cruelty of the Censor-morons, there is the villification of the human body. The Fig-Leaf Campaign is notorious for this. In their never-ending quest to destroy freedom and creativity, only the greatest artists, be they Renassaince men or pornographers, have been persecuted. And by what writ can they claim that our bodies are obscene? Of all things, it is the least obscene! We are all born into this body, this bundle of loosely connected nerves, given the hormones of lust, allowed thought and contemplation. Such a magnificent machine and such a wonderful experience, but upon inspection of this spectable, the Censor-morons claim it is an obscenity! There is no expression more sincere in its cruelty and outright ignorance, when it claims that we are obscene, disgusting, vile, terrible, horrible, based on the way our bodies look to others. Perhaps if it were humanly possible, they would pass laws making it ilegal to see our own nudity.
The question really presented to us is this: can any idea, based on how radical or altrenitave, be so dangerous that we must silence it? If our means of communication and thought are free, then the journey to truth is only given permission to pass. When we can question everything, present ideas, and express evidence, only then will we have a free nad clear view of everything. The just courts of the world will not supress evidence. By what writ can a just society supress a view? It is not a question as to who is right or wrong. Many who censor Racists may say it is because they cannot be right. But if it is true that Racism is wrong, then allow it to be observed and investigated. If it is untrue, it’s publication will be detrimental to its cause. But to supress the opinion, disallow investigation of any opinion, is slavery off thought and destructive to truth.
As the noose around our mind tightens, with government regulation, we will find that our liberties in all areas of our lives are degrading. With excessive harshness, trying to govern what we are allowed to think and what we are allowed to say, we will become indoctrinated into a drone-like trance, without humanity, with creativity, with love or hate. Becoming mindless fools following a set path determined by an unjust power, the ability to carry out justice and fairness will be severly debilitated. Deviation will be punishable. As the crimson sky of vitality and knowledge darkens to a lifeless, breathless mass — as it becomes illegal to investigate and pose questions — as the book fires reach further and further towards the skies and the condition of life sinks lower and lower — and as intelligence becomes a sign of criminality, we wil discover that our lives are without freedom, our minds full of barriers, and the never-ending journey of education has turned into a slug-race. Censorship is our enemy, so much as ignorance, cruelty, and brutality are our enemies.
